Thank Goodness

TheThinkingAtheist show

Summary: Acts of genuine good happen every moment of every day.  Human beings can be capable of wonderful acts of generosity and goodwill, of love and sacrifice, of genuine goodness. So often these acts are cloaked in accolades, not for those involved, but for the invisible deities of archaic holy books.  A physician treats a patient toward good health, and the family thanks God.  A couple qualifies with the bank to purchase their first home, and they thank God.  Someone wins $50 with a convenience store lottery ticket, and he thanks God. This show deals with gratitude, where it is directed (and misdirected).  It's a chance to put the spotlight on those who genuinely bring about the positive.  It's a chance to Thank Goodness.
