Summary: The Aquarian Weekly's and Montclair State University's WMSC 90.3 radio host Japan Nick of Japan Nick's Rock and Metal Pandemonium conducted an interview with Satan/Skyclad Guitarist Steve Ramsey on March 17th 2014. Satan is a New Wave of British Heavy Metal band that was formed in 1979. I spoke with Steve Ramsey guitarist for Satan and Skyclad.Satan have three full length albums and one ep to their name which includes 1983’s Court in the Act, 1986’s Into the Future, 1987’s Suspended Sentence, and 2013’s Life Sentence. Some contemporaries of theirs include Mercyful Fate, and Venom. Over the years they have been known by a number of different names. From 1984-85 they were called Blind Fury and released Out of Reach in 1985. They subsequently changed the name back to Satan. By 1988 they had changed their name to The Kindred and eventually Pariah. During the Pariah Days of 1988-89 they released two albums The Kindred, and Blaze of Obscurity. In 1990 a folk metal band Skyclad was formed including Steve Ramsey and Graeme English of Satan and Pariah which still is around today. By 1997-98 Pariah reformed and released the album Unity. Satan reunited in 2004 for a brief reunion and by 2011 have had their Court in the Act lineup kept steady since then. During the interview, Guitarist Steve Ramsey discussed the days of Court in the Act along with memories of concerts at the Dynamo club in Eindhoven, Holland. The various name changes and related bands of Satan from Blind Fury, to Pariah, to the still ongoing Skyclad band were explained. The album Suspended Sentence’s song Suicidal Justice’s was looked into for meaning. Their new album was reviewed with a focus on the songs Incantations, and Personal Demons. Steve gave some intelligent advice for bands getting ready for pre production and post production time in the studio. The current lineup of Satan is Steve Ramsey and Russ Tippins on guitar, Brian Ross on vocals, Graeme English on bass, and Sean Taylor on drums
