Failing Forward with Ados: Maria Maldonado

Failing Forward show

Summary: Welcome to Failing Forward with Ados, a limited-run series hosted by Indian Hills High School senior Annie Schumann. On this episode, Annie talks with Ecuadorian immigrant Maria Maldonado. Maria moved to the states in 2015 to attend the University of Cincinnati. Her lifelong dreams of becoming a singer were dashed when she didn’t get into UC’s music production program. At the same time, she was struggling to meet friends and build a new life thousands of miles away from home. But the source of her resiliency has remained constant: her family and the friends she’s been able to make since coming to America.
