He retired as a full bird Colonel in the U.S. Army. He met his wife when he was twenty-seven and she was eighteen. He shares how it created problems in their marriage because his wife is, as he puts it, “a borderline socialist and a staunch leftist.” He explains how he handles their political conflicts and disagreements that cause her to purr like a kitten and submit to him.
