Summary: Phenology is the rhythmic biological nature of events as they relate to climate. Each week, our resident phenologist John Latimer closely assesses the subtle changes happening outside and gives a full, official phenology report. Included in this week's report are differences between varieties of pine trees, a comparison of the northern shrike to the blue jay, and, among other things, sightings of ravens, owls, grosbeaks, a shrew.
