This is the first episode in a two-part series highlighting the conclusions of the Transatlantic Security Program’s new report, “Charting a Transatlantic Course to Address China.” Barkin is a senior visiting fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, managing editor in the China practice at the Rhodium Group, and former bureau chief for Reuters. Chase is a senior fellow at the German Marshall Fund, where his focus is transatlantic economic relations, particularly trade, investment, digital and energy policies. He previously served as a U.S. diplomat on European economic affairs.
