A Pod of Their Own, Episode 60: #41

Home Run Applesauce: A New York Mets podcast show

Summary: Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  It’s an all Mets show this week on APOTO. Kellyanne Healey and Allison McCague talk about the passing of Met legend Tom Seaver, his legacy, and what he means to this franchise and its fanbase. Then, we cover the Brodie Van Wagenen hot mic incident and the Wilpons’ response. We also discuss the Mets’ trade deadline moves (welcome back, Toddfather), the rollercoaster ride that has been this Yankees series, and Steve Cohen entering “exclusive negotiations” to purchase the Mets. Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.  You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Amazin’ Avenue Audio podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show.
