From Complex To Queens, Episode 78: Trade Talk, Catchers, Kurosawa

Home Run Applesauce: A New York Mets podcast show

Summary: Welcome to From Complex to Queens, the podcast Amazin’ Avnue focusing on the Mets’ minor league system. Forging ahead without Steve (who will be back next week), we start by remembering Akira Kurosawa, who died on September 6th 1985 in Promote-Extend-Trade.\ After that, we check in our adopted NPBL, KBO, and NPB teams. In short, time to give up the Swallows and go all in on the Twins. We then talk about the two (technically three) trades the Mets made at the deadline last week, starting with Miguel Castro and ending on Todd Frazier and Robinson Chirinos. That extends into a long discussion about the Mets’ catching situation, who they might bring in next year, and a very interesting reclamation project that should be available this offseason. As always, you can listen or subscribe to the podcast through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. It really helps!
