A Pod of Their Own, Episode 61: Temper Tantrum Week

Home Run Applesauce: A New York Mets podcast show

Summary: Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we begin by discussing the Mets’ dire starting pitching situation, with recent bad outings by Michael Wacha and David Peterson. We go on to talk about the Phillies series, in which Bryce Harper throwing a fit and getting ejected was a highlight. Speaking of throwing a fit, we also talked about A-Rod and J-Lo’s frustration with the Mets’ bidding process and their desperate attempt to save their bid. Joe West also got mad this week—at Nationals’ GM Mike Rizzo. And he made some rather curious comments about the incident, which we covered. We also announced our final #Dollars4Dingers pledge total of $2,153.40. Thank you, listeners! Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.  You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Amazin’ Avenue Audio podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show.
