Summary: "You should quit, you're never going to make it", is what Dr. Spencer Holover was told. But he never stopped believing. He was rejected by every medical school in the country and was forced to attend a foreign school in Grenada, West Indies, off the coast of Venezuela. Returning to the states from a foreign school would make it impossible for him to be anything other than a lower level specialty. But he continued to prove himself and when "opportunity" knocked, "preparation" met it head first.
