Summary: Welcome to UnforMETable, an Amazin’ Avenue Audio show that looks back on less heralded, more obscure Mets players from the past. Tony Fernandez sadly passed away last month after a long battle with kidney disease at the age of 57. Known primarily as a key figure on some great Toronto Blue Jays teams of the 1980s, Fernandez would come to the Mets in 1993 as the latest in a long line of veteran name acquisitions.
