Hood, Texas.<br><br>U.S Army South, G-4, Ft Sam Houston, Texas<br><br><br><br><br>Chief Gonzales’ major deployments include:<br><br>“Operation Desert Focus,” Dhahran, Saudi Arabia 1997<br><br>“Operation Enduring Freedom,” Kandahar, Afghanistan 2002<br><br>“Operation Iraqi Freedom,” Bagdad, Iraq 2004<br><br>“Operation Iraqi Freedom” Al-Kut, Iraq in 2009.<br><br><br><br><br>As a prior enlisted Sergeant, Mike Gonzales was recipient of a Distinguished Honor Graduate award for his class while attending the Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course in FT Eustis, Virginia in 2003.<br><br><br><br><br>Sergeant First Class (E-7) Mike Gonzales attended the Warrant Officer Candidate Course in 2007 and upon completion was promoted to Warrant Officer One at Ft. Rucker Alabama.<br><br><br><br><br>Chief Warrant Officer Three Mike Gonzales retired from the United States Army on March 28, 2014 with 21 ½ years of active duty service.<br><br><br><br><br>Chief Gonzales graduated with an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts from Central Texas College in 2010. Mike graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in May 2018. In addition, Mike is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry through Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio, Texas.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>Today, Mike Gonzales is the Director of Outreach for the Birdwell Foundation on PTSD in San Antonio. He is also the founder, Host and voice to IMPACT Ministry SA on radio station AM630 “The Word,” which can be heard every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. In addition, Mike has been a motivational and inspirational speaker at local universities such as San Antonio College, Texas Lutheran University, Our Lady of the Lake University, and the University of Incarnate Word. Furthermore, Mike has shared with various organizations such as the San Antonio Eye Bank, Bexar County Detention Center, Haven for Hope, Brook Army Medical Center, Military City U.S.A Radio, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Prison Center in Hondo, and various military organizations (Veterans Center, VFW’s, and American Legion’s). Finally, Mike has been featured nationally on the Christian Broadcast Channel (CBN-700 Club) for his battle with Combat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).<br><br><br><br><br>Retired Chief Warrant Officer Mike Gonzales is Married to Ines Gonzales.
