Episode 65- Shifting perspective as your child grows, with autism mom Jacqui Folks

Adventures in Autism show

Summary: In today’s episode I’m chatting with autism mom Jacqui Folks. Jacqui shares her journey with her son Ethan, who is now 18. We talk about the early days after Ethan’s diagnosis 16 years ago and how different things were back then. Jacqui was determined in her pursuit to help her son and find others dealing with similar issues along the way. She managed to do just that and formed ACES for Autism- a local group that is doing amazing things for autism in their community. Jacqui also recently published her book “Adventures with Big E: Help with Hygiene” which is a collection of social stories about all things related to hygiene! Jacqui and I also talk about how her son is doing now that they are navigating adulthood. Jacqui is such a sweet and genuine person, we had a great conversation!
