USDA pushes back relocation date for some, putting buyouts in jeopardy

Summary: The saga continues for the Agriculture Department and its efforts to relocate the headquarters for two of its research bureaus to Kansas City. USDA is asking some employees at the National Institute of Food and Agriculture and the Economic Research Service to work longer in Washington. Like through December, or even next March. The American Federation of Government Employees is suspicious the extensions could reduce the benefits owed to departing employees.
