He grew up in Mulvane, Kansas, where he got his start drawing spaceships and aliens alongside his twin brother. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. He is happiest exploring the city with a sketchbook in hand. Gavin’s drawings record the world around him—the moment, places, and people in it. His art and his music draw on the power of observation and memory. Gavin wants to make something beautiful, something that may be able to transport the viewer to a specific time and a specific place.
