Summary: 9/2/19<br><br>Season 10, Episode 12 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Monday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers initial 53-man roster and practice squad for 2019 following the Saturday cutdown day. We go position group by position group and discuss the initial roster decisions that were made and more.<br><br>News broke Monday morning that wide receiver Johnny Holton was added to the practice squad so we discuss that late move and the Steelers reportedly putting in a waiver claim for tight end Ricky Seals-Jones on Sunday. With that failed claim behind them, Alex and discuss whether or not a tight end will be added to the 53-man roster by Monday evening and what a potential corresponding move might be.<br><br>The Steelers finally were able to sign cornerback Joe Haden to an extension on Sunday so Alex and I discuss that transaction in addition to going over the early reported numbers and what the potential effect on the salary cap it should have. We also address one last time what the chances of defensive tackle Javon Hargrave signing an extension prior to Sunday look like with Haden now done.<br><br>The Steelers announced their 2019 team captains Monday morning so we go over that news and also discuss other news from around the NFL that took place over the weekend in addition to talking briefly about what's going on with the New England Patriots and their roster ahead of the Sunday night Week 1 game against the Steelers.<br><br>As usual, Alex and I answer a few email questions that we received from listeners since our last show posted to close out this episode.<br><br>As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.<br><br>Thanks for listening and don't forget to call or email with questions or comments and please pass us along to your friends!
