When I turned 15, I got my first job washing dishes at Chocolate Pizza Company, a small chocolate shop in my hometown of Marcellus, NY. I worked long hours after-school and on weekends, washing dishes, mopping floors, cleaning machines. It taught me to be responsible, to be on-time, to work hard and to bring a positive attitude to the job. I needed those qualities 6 years later in 2010 when at the age of 21 and a senior at Syracuse University, I bought the company. Overnight, I was a full-time student and business owner, working 20-hour days and often sleeping in the store. But I loved every minute.
