These questions will be answered during this episode.   Good Deeds presents celebrated and award-winning columnist, blogger, and radio talk show host Shana Thornton advocates Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous and memorable quote- "Intelligence plus character-that is the true goal of education." Shana personally believes that upholding positive and encouraging character enhances not only the individual but society as a whole. Shana believes that women and men alike can be empowered by relevant and moving conversation. Her radio talk show aims to address timely issues. Through her platform, Shana encourages the discovery of viable solutions to many issues affecting the community. Let's Talk America with Host Shana Thornton was recently recognized with the Excellency In Journalism Award from the NAACP. Shana is very active in the community. She is a proud member of Shiloh Baptist Church, a past President of Toastmasters, an active mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and the current Chairperson of Public Relations for the Henry County NAACP. She is also the current Chairperson for the 2014 Freedom Fund Scholarship Program. Shana also holds membership with the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists. In her spare time, she performs with the popular Shiloh Players Acting Group and leads an innovative group of young women titled Emerging Women. She is a dedicated wife and mother. Shana Thornton loves God, her family, and the community. She enjoys being inspired by others. Shana’s personal motto is “Live this life with the passion to make a difference!”
