Let's Talk America with Host Shana Thornton was recently recognized with the Excellency In Journalism Award from the NAACP. Shana is very active in the community. She is a proud member of Shiloh Baptist Church, a past President of Toastmasters, an active mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, and the current Chairperson of Public Relations for the Henry County NAACP. She is also the current Chairperson for the 2014 Freedom Fund Scholarship Program. Shana also holds membership with the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists. In her spare time, she performs with the popular Shiloh Players Acting Group and leads an innovative group of young women titled Emerging Women. She is a dedicated wife and mother.
