Those not familiar – Messiah College here in Pennsylvania has been one of the most successful college programs in the country.</p> <p>During a 10 year period their men’s and women’s programs won 472 times, lost 31 times, and drew 20 times.</p> <p>So what is the Messiah Method?</p> <p>· Pursue a higher purpose than winning.</p> <p>· Be intentional about everything.</p> <p>· Recruit the “Both-And” players.</p> <p>· Cultivate team chemistry.</p> <p>· Link training to the match.</p> <p>· Choreograph match day.</p> <p>· Play to a standard.</p> <p>Jay talks about how he has used this to shape goal setting and action plans with his players.</p> <p>Hammond also talks about grit and determination.
