We also start "The Positively cynical Corner" by reviewing John Carpenter's THE THING ( and CAPE FEAR, secretly), answer some random voicemails that lead us to the quality of Gene Hackman's career, awesome TV plots that were dropped, and actually having to stick up for the original HALLOWEEN.
