Fr. Bryan Kassa - 3rd Sunday of Lent

Chaldean Diocese of St. Thomas the Apostle U.S.A. show

Summary: Fr. Bryan Kassa gave this homily on the 3rd Sunday of Lent at St. Joseph Chaldean Catholic Church in Troy, Michigan. He preached about St. Paul and how St. Paul in his letter to the Romans was admitting his frustrations with his body which wants what is sinful at times and his soul which has the Holy Spirit and wants what is holy. This is our tension as well. Fr. Bryan preached about why most Catholics fail at their Lenten penance. He also preached about how Lent is a time to take our sins more serious so we can strengthen ourselves, our relationship with God and also strengthen our Church community when we say no to sin and yes to Jesus.
