Summary: James 1:27 tells us that "religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." We aren't called to be <em><strong>of</strong></em> the world -- but we are called to be <em><strong>in </strong></em>the world, and to bless those we meet the same way the Lord's blessed us. When we obey God and care for the most vulnerable of His people, it's as if we're caring for Jesus Himself.
