The only area that has not improved is my cholesterol-  my cholesterol levels are really high and I think the reason is because I’ve been eating so much fat. My good cholesterol is really good, but my bad cholesterol is really high. Can you explain the difference in the two types of cholesterol? What do you think is causing this? I don’t understand why everything is improving through Intermittent Fasting EXCEPT this? I am also eating cleaner than I ever have! -Charlotte in Columbia    Q2 - 22:22 Q: I just recently had a food sensitivity test and the things that I got red flagged on were things like spinach, lettuce and pineapple- which I thought was a little strange. I took another one and it came back different, and it red flagged all these different healthy vegetables. Do you think these food sensitivity tests are legit? If so, why are they coming out different?  Do you think my issues have anything to do with leaky gut? -Daphne in Texas   Q3 - 27:15 Q: Slowly, it seems like all of my friends are becoming vegan. They have me watching documentaries and are trying to convince me to give up meats. My diet is currently meats, vegetables, and cheese, I am Keto for the most part. I feel really great when I eat this way, and I find my body craving things like red meat. What do I say to these friends that are hell bent on getting everyone they know to stop eating meat? - Paula in Utah   Q4 - 32:14 Q: I have developed Sleep Apnea over the past year or so, which I am reading can be really bad for my heart. How can I change up my diet and try to treat this naturally before it gets worse? -Terri in Charlottesville   Q5 - 34:30 Q: I have both Fatty liver and Hypothyroidism. What do you recommend for me to do? I’m trying Intermittent Fasting and Keto now but not so sure if that’s what I really needed. Should I do Paleo and IF instead?  -Bess Q6 - 39:03 Q: On your podcast, you’ve talked about the importance of tons of fiber. What are some of my best options for supplements? I’ve tried Metamucil a few times and it always makes me feel really bloated and gross. -Angela in Northern VA    Q7 - 41:00 Q: I’ve been reading a lot of different things about the supplement Berberine, and how good it is for you.  I am really trying to simplify my supplements like you talked about on the podcast, but this one keeps coming up everywhere! Is it something I should add to my daily repertoire? -Haley in Georgia   Q8 - 43:17 Q: Recently I’ve heard an increase in the trend of the Carnivore diet, both in the Paleo and Ketogenic communities I follow. I have a friend that does this, and he eats several meats per meal, and it’s all he eats! No veggies or anything. What is your opinion on this way of life, besides it not being too tasty, I just can’t wrap my mind around getting all the nutrients I need from meat alone? - Alison in Great Neck, NY    Q9 - 44:59 Q: I’ve worked really hard to clean up my diet and get my nutrients from food. I’ve weened all of my blood pressure medicine, but the one thing I still take is Staten for my heart. Is there anything I can do to ween myself off this? -Gary in Syracuse   Q10 - 46:19 Q: I’ve heard some really mixed reviews about probiotics lately, and it seems like everyone is talking about prebiotics now, which is something brand new to me! What is the difference in these, and what do you recommend I take? Also, what is your opinion on digestive enzymes? -Erin in Pennsylvania   Q11 - 47:24 Q: It’s that time of year again! All my friends on Facebook are debating giving their children the flu shot. I was shocked that they even set up a flu shot clinic at my son’s elementary school! He was relieved when I told him that he didn’t have to get one HAHA, but now I am having second thoughts. Do you recommend that I have my kids get the flu shot, and what about me? - Tara in Birmingham  --------------------------------------- To learn more about the principles of intermittent fasting, purchase Chantel's book, Waist Away: The Chantel Ray Way NOW by visiting http://amzn.to/2CVmTgs YouTube Channel Link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCteFjiVaY6n0SOAixcyZbWA Like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheChantelRayWay     Things we love: https://chantelrayway.com/things-i-love-2/  Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheChantelRayWay   ***As always, this podcast is not designed to diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition and is for information purposes only.
