The Segilola Salami Show show

Summary: Audio books, ebooks, paperbacks and more
Today on The Segilola Salami Show, we discuss the different formats books are available in today from paperbacks to ebooks to audio books. Does each book need to be available in multiple formats? What are the pros and cons of each of them? What are the implications for a self published author? We also review a most interesting book. Listen to find out more.
Here’s the summary of what was said:

Writing your book is the easiest thing you can do on this journey. My tip is you need to first establish who your target audience is and how suitable each format would be to them.
So an example of what I mean is this: if you write children’s books for instance, who would do the reading? The child or the adult? How do you think it should be read? On an ereader alone or physical book? How about those who are visually impaired?
You don’t necessarily have to make your book available in every single format the first day it is published. You can consider adding more formats as part of your marketing activities. Hopefully by this time, you would have had a number of reviews to help boost things
The Segilola Salami show is hosted by Segilola Salami who is also an author and a self publishing strategist. She provides one to one support to aspiring authors to help them self publish their own books and make a success of it. Her latest book is called Yetunde: An Ode to My Mother https://www.segilolasalami.co.uk/amazon-us/. Part of the proceeds from the sales of this book goes towards helping UK Charity Jigsaw4u.
The show is about books, books and more books but specifically self published books. The show is in the form of a round table discussion. We give tips to help self published authors then discuss an indie book (like a book club).
Or better still, think of it as a group of book lovers having virtual coffee discussing books
The show is published weekly on Tuesdays at 9am GMT London.
