Art Base Exhibit Helps Newcomer Students Find New 'Home' In The Roaring Fork Valley

Summary: Fifteen Basalt High School students are asking the question, “How do you know when you’re home?” The students, all newcomers to the U.S., have been working with a local artist to create the new Art Base exhibit “Home: Unpacking Self and Place.” It opens Friday evening. The students involved are using art to reflect on the home they left behind, while becoming a part of their new one.
