Summary: This Friday, Geneva will play host to the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, or GPHG, the most prestigious awards we have in the watchmaking industry. Winners are chosen across a variety of categories, including things like complications, sports watches, best watch under CHF 6,500, etc. We thought it would be fun to get a few of our editors together in the studio ahead of the awards ceremony to give our thoughts on the 72 short-listed watches, so Ben, Cara, Jon, and I each picked our own winners and debated the finer points of what separates the best from the rest.
