Summary: Dr. Eugene Zampieron, ND, AHG, interviews Dr. Jennifer Jacobs, MD, MPH. Dr Jacobs is a family practice physician specializing in integrative medicine. She is  a clinical assistant professor in epidemiology at the University of Washington School of Public Health and Community Medicine. She received her MD degree from Wayne State University and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Washington. Dr. Jacobs has served on the advisory board of the NIH Office of Alternative Medicine, co-founded the special interest group of the American Public Health Association on Complementary and Alternative Health Practices, and has published numerous research studies in peer-reviewed medical journals, such as Pediatrics, the Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal, and the European Journal of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Jacobs has served on the editorial advisory boards of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine and Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine and as an advisory board member of the monthly magazine Natural Health. Today we will discuss her book, Do You Really Need That Pill? How to Avoid Side Effects, Interactions, and Other Dangers of Overmedication (Skyhorse Publishing; June 5, 2018, paperback).
