Summary: Althemese Barnes is a pioneer in the Tallahassee community who has worked diligently to preserve African American history. She was a part of the founding team of the John G Riley Center/Museum, and was instrumental in the creation of the Smokey Hollow Historic Site and the African American History Trail.
