Episode 2- Glory (1989)

Reel Feels Podcast show

Summary: The Reel Feels Podcast is proud to celebrate Black History Month with 1989's "Glory".  In this episode we read some new reviews and answer some listener questions that were put out on Twitter.  Following the Battle of Antietam, Col. Robert Gould Shaw (Matthew Broderick) is offered command of the United States' first all-African-American regiment, the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. With junior officer Cabot Forbes (Cary Elwes), Shaw puts together a strong and proud unit, including the escaped slave Trip (Denzel Washington) and the wise gravedigger John Rawlins (Morgan Freeman). At first limited to menial manual tasks, the regiment fights to be placed in the heat of battle.  This amazing and timeless film is one for the ages and gives tribute to those brave men of the 54th out of Massachusetts.   We are the Reel Feels Podcast, every other Wednesday we'll bring you a new movie with all the feels you can handle.  We'll laugh, we'll cry and possibly restrain the frustrations to curse the heavens.  But what you can count on is two guys sharing their love of cinema with you.  Please leave us a review and share your "reel" feelings. Email:  reelfeelspodcast@gmail.com Twitter:  https://twitter.com/ReelFeelsPodFacebook:  https://www.facebook.com/ReelFeelsPodcast/
