Tonglen for Others (20 min)

Happy Mind: Meditations from the Ancient World to Modernity show

Summary: In Tibetan ‘tong’ can be translated as ‘letting go’ or ‘sending out’ and ‘len’ can mean ‘receiving’ or ‘accepting’. This ancient Buddhist technique is designed to help you relieve suffering or anguish. The method is to just follow a simple, basic rhythm of thought, breath and emotional patterning and the suffering within ourselves ceases, or at least reduces, and almost magically, we help alleviate the suffering in others at the same time. It is one of the oldest, and very best, brain hacks of all time. This is a 20 minute version of the 'Tonglen for Others' practice.

See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
