Some crazy things happened in our absence, like the Villanova Wildcats giving up 101 points to the Butler Bulldogs in a shooting performance that could be explained by Hinkle Magic. Butler shot 68.2 percent from long range in the upset win over 'Nova, surpassing the traumatic Creighton Bluejays' losses from Ethan Wragge, Doug McDermott, and Co. in 2014. Now, men's basketball gears up for the sharpshooting Marquette Golden Eagles, which has the two top scorers in the conference--Andrew Rowsey and Markus Howard. Women's basketball also suffered its first loss of the season and is now 1-2 to start Big East play. The Wildcats enjoyed a comeback win over Providence, but a lopsided loss to...Butler...They look to bounce back against Xavier on Friday night.
