The NIOSH study is the most extensive most comprehensive review to date. www.cdc.gov/niosh/firefighters/ffcancerstudy.html The study ran from 1950 through 2010—the Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Francisco fire departments were the primary base for the study. The report showed conclusively that firefighters contract cancer at a far higher rate than the general public.
