Dorothée Imbert

The Landscape Architecture Podcast show

Summary: Dorothée Imbert is the current chair and head of landscape architecture at The Ohio State University. Dorothée and Michael Todoran took advantage of Spring in Ohio to sit and chat in the southern garden of Knowlton Hall designed by Michael Van Valkenburgh. During their discussion they talk about what lured her into accepting the position at OSU, a collaborative symposium with Sarah Cowles entitled “This is a Test: Landscape as Site for Research”. The 12:1 slopes in Knowlton Hall, what it’s like for a landscape architecture program to be under the college of engineering, designing 'The Square and Pavilion' in Basel, Switzerland with her husband Andrew Cruse, American Football, monuments, and her latest book “Landscape Inventories: Michel Desvigne Paysagiste”. It was a pleasure to sit down with Dorotée. We hope that you enjoy this conversation as much as we enjoyed creating it. http://larchitect.org/
