And, North Korea and South Korea have agreed to finally end the Korean War. Is this the beginning of world peace or at least some hope it's possible? When I was a child I really believed I’d see world peace in my lifetime. I thought we’d evolve out of the need to cause mass death to settle differences that somehow we’d find a better way. As I got older I became cynical because I understand there are differences in basic beliefs that make it difficult to co-exist peacefully. But, even with that, the borders have been drawn why do we need wars? Just a few months ago we all thought we were headed for WW3. Now there's peace.
