Summary: It's an "Eastern Conference Rising" edition of MLS in 30 with two heartland beat reporters in to break down the action. First up it's Jeff Crandall of ChicagoFire.com, who provides insight into Chicago Fire's good form as of late. He shares how integral Sean Johnson has been to the team after the goalkeeper started the season off rocky with the U.S. U-23 squad. Crandall also reveals how the Marco Pappa transfer to Heerenveen will affect the men in red as they continue their quest to lift the club's first trophy in half a dozen years. Then, Garrett and Jon welcome in Adam Jardy of the Columbus Dispatch. Jardy shares who besides the headline-grabbing new boys Federico Higuain and Jairo Arrieta have been powering the Crew's climb up the Eastern Conference table. He also discusses the club's scouting practices and how it has been able to sign several quality DPs without breaking the bank. All that plus the usual "Best ________ of the week" and even some Western Conference banter ahead of a somewhat strange week in the league on this week's edition of MLS in 30.
