Summary: An important provision in Title IX of the Financial CHOICE Act repeals Section 619 of Dodd–Frank, otherwise known as the Volcker Rule. The rule’s original intent was to prohibit banks from engaging in what’s known as proprietary trading – that is, making risky investments solely for their own profit.
