Songwriters Guild Live - March 1 with Reinis Young and Courtney Yasmineh

Songwriters Guild Live show

Summary: Courtney Yasmineh is a singer/songwriter from Chicago/NYC/Minneapolis. She is currently promoting her upcoming seventh album and the publishing of her first novel based on Courtney's own mythic backstory of the runaway teen who went to live alone in northern Minnesota, the birthplace of Bob Dylan, and in discovering his music she discovered her own. Courtney is on a six week tour in Europe and the UK accompanied by her longtime producer/drummer Rob Genadek. The duo will play songs from Courtney's extensive back catalog (much of which is on Youtube in a great collection of music videos) and also preview songs from the upcoming new release. Reinis Young is a travelling guitar player from Riga, Latvia who has played all around Europe and elsewhere for years sharing his exceptional guitar skills and original songs using different kinds of guitar playing techniques - including tapping, percussive, and finger-picking. Reinis started to compose in times when he was busking and hitchhiking around Europe and Asia. Later on he has started to play more official concerts and since then have been touring all around Europe and New Zealand. He states: ''Music and traveling is my passion. I feel extremely happy to express my emotions throw music to any audience - it doesn't matter if it's a full concert hall or few people in a cafe.'' Songwriters Guild Live is a weekly radioshow in Amsterdam, focussed on singers who write songs. This week your host was Ro Halfhide.
