Summary: Health Education Teacher Leadership Teacher leadership refers to the skill set demonstrated by teachers who teach students but also have influence beyond their own classroom to others in their school and elsewhere. Listen as we conduct an extensive review into key components of health education teacher leadership with one of the current leaders in the health education profession. The discussion will define the practice of teacher leadership, give examples of summer activities to showcase leadership skills, and explain how to express leadership at the school, district, state, and national levels. Panelists include: *Andy Milne – A graduate of Exeter University, Andy taught in London, England for 12 years before immigrating to the United States in 2008. He is currently beginning his 18th year of teaching health and physical education. Andy is the 2017 SHAPE America Midwest District Health Teacher of the Year.
