Summary: Interested in implementing technology in your health and physical education classroom? Whether you have one device or are a 1:1 classroom, listen as our guest panel discuss the successes and failures when it comes to implementing technology. Learn the management of technology (adding apps, storage of devices, etc.), how to begin implementing and building technology in your classes, and what can be accomplished by simply using one device in your classroom. Panelists include: *Gina Lange —Currently serving as the District Chair for Middle Level Physical Education and Health Curriculum Council, Gina has a Master’s degree in Physical Education: Exercise Science from University of Northern Iowa and recently began her 16TH year of teaching in Liberty Public Schools in Liberty, Mo. *Brian Devore — A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, Brian has over 25 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level. In 2013-14, Brian was named Cobb County’s Elementary Physical Education TOY, Georgia AHPERD’s Elementary PE TOY, and Southern District SHAPE America Elementary PE TOY. Currently, he serves as Georgia AHPERD’s President Elect, Georgia AHPERD’s Social Media Director, SHAPE America Southern District’s Leadership Council Member, and chair of SHAPE America’s Physical Education Council. *Amy Prior — An NCAAHE Teacher of the Year, as well as SHAPE America Southern District’s Health Educator of the Year, Amy’s 20 plus years of involvement with NCAASPERD-SM and SHAPE America has launched her onto a national platform for teacher voice and educational policy. She has served the past three years on the NCAAHE Board, with the last two as President Elect and current President, affording her a seat on NCAAHPERD-SM's Board of Directors. She also serves as a member of SHAPE America’s National Health Education Standards (NHES) Addendum-Skills Based Task Force and the SHAPE America’s Health Education Assessment (HEAP) Task Force.
