Unlike many companies rebuilding wooden aeroplanes however Aerowood uses computer CAD technology and a CNC automated cutting machine. Personally Corin has created wooden parts for all sorts of projects from Tiger Moths to SE5a’s. But most famously Corin has been involved in rebuilding the wooden structure of several de Havilland Mosquitoes as flying projects. Two of them now flying in the USA – KA114 with Jerry Yagen’s Military Aircraft Museum, and TV959 with Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage Collection. The third flying Mosquito project, Rod Lewis’s PZ474, should hopefully fly sometime in 2018. And Aerowood has another exciting upcoming project, working with Pioneer Aero Restorations Ltd of Ardmore, and that is the de Havilland Sea Hornet TT193 project that is planned to be restored to fly too. He talks about all these projects and more.
SHOWTIME is 9pm ET / Tuesday / January 30th 2018 / Podcast will follow

QUICK LINK: Aerowood
QUICK LINK: Pioneer Aero Ltd
QUICK LINK: Pioneer Aero Ltd on Facebook
