Summary: The rule innovations trialled in Milan have started many a conversation about what the game of tennis might look like in the future and this week we hear from those involved in devising the rules in the first place, to players, coaches and journalists. The programme starts by hearing from Executive Chairman and President of the ATP, Chris Kermode and the ATP’s Executive Vice President of Rules and Competition, Gayle Bradshaw as they explain the process going forward. We then hear from Hawkeye’s Head of Tennis, Sam Greean on Hawkeye Live, Richard Krajicek, gives the view of a former player and now Tournament Director of a 500 event, NextGen players Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov discuss what it was like to actually play with the rules, Fabio Goretti and Jan Michael Gambill give the coaches perspective, Leon Smith compares the Davis Cup coaching to that of the NextGen and finally we hear from the men tasked with bringing the whole thing together - ATP Chief Player Officer and Tournament Director in Milan, Ross Hutchins and George Ciz, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development at the ATP.
