Summary: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has a stunning dearth of knowledge when it comes to the Tea Party. He doubled down on his support for establishment candidates saying conservatives simply cannot win general elections. McConnell needs a history lesson on the Tea Party. Marco Rubio. Mike Lee. Rand Paul. Ted Cruz. These are but a few winning Tea Party candidates that were opposed by the establishment but are now key figures in the Republican majority. The Senate is not going to embrace conservative principles or deal with the debt unless Mitch McConnell is thrown out of office. After that Ambassador to Israel, Ron Dermer calls in to talk about the Iran deal. President Trump gave a historic speech in presenting his decertification of the deal. Trump’s speech signified that America has a President that is ready to take on Iran. This is a militant Islamic regime that wants to export its radical ideology around the world. The Iran deal was a very bad deal and put the International Community on cruise control heading over a cliff. Trump could have kicked the can down the road but has made the responsible decision in decertifying. When Israelis and Arabs are supportive of something that tells you it is pretty sound policy. Later, some think that the NFL teams are colluding against Colin Kaepernick to keep him off the field. Maybe it is because he just isn’t that good. He and other NFL players take a knee for police brutality, but there is not systemic racial violence done by police. However, there is systemic violence against the police. In 2016,118 law enforcement officers died in line of duty compared to 86 the year before. In addition, another 57,000 officers were assaulted in the line of duty and 16,000 of those sustained injuries.
