Summary: Ben Bogart is the co-director and founder of the tango group, Cuarteto Tanguero. He is also the group's bandoneon player. Ben studied classical music at UC Santa Cruz and jazz at Berklee College of Music before traveling to Argentina to pursue a 2-year certificate at the esteemed Orquesta Escuela de Tango Emilio Balcarce in Buenos Aires. He spent a total of 6 years in Argentina, and studied with the top bandoneón players and tango musicians there. Ben has also performed with multiple grammy award winners, and has been featured as a bandoneón soloist with the Cincinnati Opera, the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, the Lexington Philharmonic, and many others.
