Summary: Christians might be “in the world” and not “of it,” but we’re still impacted by our consumerist culture! We shop around to get the best price, haggle with salespeople, and throw things out when they no longer serve our needs. There’s nothing wrong with that mindset in the business world, but it gets dangerous when we bring that into our churches.
