Episode Seventy-nine - Men In Black's Tim Blaney

The Damn Dirty Drive-In show

Summary: Number Five Is Alive! When Gyspy’s puppeteer, Tim Blaney, drops by the podcast, he brings with him a grab bag of famous marionette and character voice work. Ryan, Kate and Greg marvel as Tim recreates his roles as “Short Circuit’s” Johnny Five, “Men In Black’s” Frank the Pug and Space Worm, as well as NPC characters from Skyrim and beyond. Oh, and he talks in detail about his Season 11 puppeteering work with Mystery Science Theater’s favorite purple ‘bot! The gang discusses Hurricane Irma relief efforts and #MST3KCARES, and how MSTies can help their fellow humans in need. Meanwhile, Kate celebrates Justin Roiland’s “Terryfolds” and the band Chaos Chaos, as well as the science of storing flamingos in men’s restrooms. Then Greg feeds Ryan after midnight in a discussion of 1984’s “Gremlins,” a horror comedy very much in the MST3K wheelhouse. The gang praises the new movie adaptation of Stephen King's “It” and Bill Skarsgård’s terrifying turn as Pennywise the Clown. In the Mini Soda Review, everyone peels back the foil on Pellegrino Aranciata Orange, and then take a Very Adamant Stance against heading back To school. And Ron and James tackle “The Clonus Horror” in Reviewers In The MST. All this and a plucky, likeable immigrant mouse in a Don Bluth cartoon, who sadly can’t quite make it over a newly built border wall, thus crushing his hopes and dreams of America, on this week’s episode of the Revival League Podcast! (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity).
