Summary: Three Australian Rabbis are on a black list published by the Israeli Chief Rabbinate, as having their conversions of individuals to Judaism in Australia, questioned under the Rabbinates strict Orthodox conditions. Recent Australian conversions to Judaism and two marriage ceremonies at the Ark Centres Synagogue in Melbourne, are being reviewed by the Melbourne Beth-Din, in regard to their being recognized by the Orthodox Rabbis. Last minute attempts to save Sydneys South Head Synagogue from closure have failed, despite the efforts of a mediation groups attempt to find a compromise between the Rabbi Milecki and Synagogues board over long running financial and spiritual leadership issues.
