In the basement of his apartment building, he has a couple of rooms that house his gigantic lathe and his collection of turnings, some completed and some waiting for finish. His introduction to woodworking came after a chance encounter with a woodworker who occupied the same rooms back in the 80s. Boley was recovering from surgery and needed a new hobby with tennis no longer on his activities list.
