Steelers Podcast - The Terrible Podcast show

Summary: Season 6, Episode 40 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get things started by talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers four-game stretch without injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and how their upcoming Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals is very important as it relates to not only winning the AFC North, but making the playoffs as a Wild Card. The Steelers lost 23-13 to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, so as you would expect, we get right into breaking that game down thoroughly. We discuss the play of quarterback Landry Jones, key offensive plays, as well as how the defense played in the game. Missed tackles, turnovers and explosive plays are certainly discussed in addition to third downs on both sides of the football. Tackle Alejandro Villanueva made his first career start on Sunday so we talk about the game he played in addition to talking about the rest of the offensive line. David hits on the lack of urgency by the Steelers offense at the end of the game as well. Before we wrap things up, David and I hit on the future of Steelers cornerback Cortez Allen now that he’s been placed on the Reserve/Injured list for a second straight season. Additionally, we talk briefly about the Steelers kicker situation for 2016. As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
