Summary: Renee Wood is a social worker turned accidental entrepreneur. She founded The Comfort Company, a business dedicated to the development and sale of meaningful sympathy gifts after becoming frustrated when trying to find a special sympathy gift to a family member. Ultimately, she took matters into her own hands...literally. She used a piece of play-doh to sculpt a pendant which a local jeweler cast into silver. Combined with a special poem she written, she finally felt she had the perfect gift. Demand for the pendant began to grow and The Comfort Company was formed to meet this growing need.
