Aparna worked in outdoor education and organized a project in Alaska called Expedition Denali to inspire diversity in the outdoors. She then teamed up with Eva Holliday who has a PhD in American Environmentalism, Equity and Inclusion to form <a href="https://twitter.com/TheAvarnaGroup">The Avarna Group</a>, which works with organizations such as the National Forest Service and the YMCA helping them with very specific tools, not just to talk about diversity, equity and inclusion but suggests what can be done to change their cultures from the ground up with the aim of getting a more diverse group of people outside.
